Your credit rating is affected in a very limited way with bankruptcy.  Certainly there is a concern for one’s credit rating, but you have to understand that most of the time when people are looking at bankruptcy, their credit rating has probably already been hurt.

The likelihood of a bankruptcy hurting it further is very slim. In many ways a bankruptcy will actually give you an opportunity to start repairing your credit more quickly than if you hadn’t done a bankruptcy.
